Team Canada is likely to be the favorites to win ice hockey Gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The star-studded team features NHL greats like Sidney Crosby, Dany Heatley, and possibly the best goaltender in NHL history Martin Brodeur.
Along side these greats will be three young Blackhawks stars. 21 year old winger Jonathan Toews, 26 year old defense man Duncan Keith, and 24 year old defense man Brent Seabrook will all represent Chicago on Team Canada.
We also know that wingers Marian Hossa and Tomas Kopecky will be among the 12 NHL players on Slovakia's 23 player roster. Current rumors have Patrick Kane as the sole Blackhawk on the 2010 Team USA roster, which will be chosen January 1st. No other Hawks players will participate in the event.
The Olympic men's hockey games begin February 16th. The only chance to see Hawks players battle each other for Olympic supremacy during pool play will occur Sunday, February 21st when the United States takes on Team Canada at 7:45 p.m. Eastern time.
